Language Of Orangutans

I learned language of orangutans. Orangutans are so much like humans that the word 'orandutan' means 'person of the forest' in the Malay lamguage!
Rob Shumaker is the cordinator of the Orangutan Language project. He studies the orangutans' mind and discover more about how they think. Rob Shumaker is working at a computer with Inda. Inda is able to identify object correctly. And Inda is learning a vocabulary of symbols such as bananas, apples, and cups. Inda is very fast with the symbols-sometimes even faster than the computer!!

I think orangutans are very clever. Now, I am interested in language of orangutans.

Poster Presentation

We presented posters of foreign cities.　I studied Helsinki with my friend. We explained cities each other. But I couldn't tell our cities well. I don't have enough vocabulary, so I have to increase my vocabulary to talk about our topics. I will learn 10 English words a day. And, if I have a next chance, I'm going to explain better. I had my vacabulary problems, but I think our poster was great!!

Helsinki

I decided to study Helsinki with my friend. First, Helsinki is the capital of Finlamd, and it is one of the most famous cities in Nothern Europe. The city has a population of 590,000.  A six of the nations speak Swedish. There are many tourist attractions,and Helsinki is a center of  education,culture,business and so on.
In Helsinki, ice hockey is a popular sport. And,The Olympic Games were held in Helsinki in 1952. Now, Helsinki is called "a white city of north".  Surprisingly, Helsinki is a hometown of "muumin"! Someday, I want to visit Helsinki.

Agatha Christie,Woman of Mystery

I read "Agatha Christie,Woman of Mystery".　This book is a story of her life.  The life of Agatha was full of many events.  First, Agatha was in bed because she was ill. She had to stay in bed everyday, so she was bored. Then, her mother told Agatha to write a story. But, her story was almost ignored. Second, she  fell in love with three men.  However, her love was difficult.  This book has 8 Chapters.  My favorite chapter is 6.  Although Agatha had many problems in her life, perhaps she is the greatest detective-story writer now.  Please read this book!!  I want to read more English books♪
